Not only did she have hire and utilities to pay, however her late husband had left behind bills of his own. To make issues worse, she discovered jobs scarce as she entered the market simply before the Great Recession. As Pat participated in Able’s Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), she gained confidence and work expertise. Before the program, she was anxious when speaking to others, however as she worked as a Client Services Representative for other SCSEP members, she turned an outstanding recruiter of participants with an enormous heart for making an attempt to assist everyone she could. After she completed her participation in SCSEP, Pat had this to say: “I am so proud of myself. I actually have paid off all of my payments â€" this took me a whole sixteen months. I truly paid of f bills that my husband left when he died in 2007. My rent and utilities are paid in advance. I even have been able to assist all my youngsters when they were unable to pay a bill â€" a car payment â€" get groceries â€" or get gasoline â€" or go to the doctor. My pets are included in my daily care too.” Some of the objectives that SCSEP helps individuals achieve aren't always tangible by way of the data we measure as an company, however they’re no less necessary. “I really feel I actually have gained some personal and genuine friendships,” Pat says, and “I am now not afraid to speak to folks.” With a new outlook on life, and a new set of useful job expertise, Pat is properly-outfitted to successfully find a permanent place. She’ll work directly with Able to point out employers just how great of an asset she could be, and very quickly the center and spirit she places into her work will help her reach even higher heights!
